FX Bank Research
The following sources consist of institutional-level research and will show you directly what traders at the firms that are moving the money are thinking. Most of the resources are free although some resources on the sites require that you are an investment banking client. Click on the names of each bank below to send you to the bank research pages. I’ve listed them by preference:
- Scotiabank (Canada) – FX Commentaries are offered daily, weekly, and monthly. Monthly is good for getting a “big picture” focus, while daily will give you a pulse on the market.
- UBS Research (Switzerland)
- Commonwealth Bank Research- Economic daily alert (Australia/NZ)
- DBS (Singapore)
- Mellon Foreign Exchange (NY)
Check them out, because this kind of research is hard to get if you’re not in the industry. Find 1 or 2 that you really like and read them on a daily basis. Some of them have monthly/quarterly publications that can give you a better idea of the big picture.
